Midnight Foil
Ours. Three hundred pairs, made ninety minutes from this room, in the one colourway we could afford to get right. Friday, ten in the morning, in person only, one per person.
Vulcan Black
Full price, and we will not move on it. A winter trail sole on a town shoe. Twelve weeks old and it is the fastest thing on the wall.
Tissue White
Eighty-eight pairs left of twenty-four hundred. Barely a discount because it does not need one — this is the shoe people come in and ask for by name.
Eyelet Steel
Nine hundred pairs, all of them gone but nineteen. The only shoe in the building above retail. Repriced monthly against what it actually trades for, rounded down.
Gum Runner
Cancelled order. The buyer walked away from five thousand pairs in March and we took the lot at cost. Gum sole, unlined nubuck, thirty pounds under.
Shoebox Orange
A general release that never sold through. Twelve thousand made, a year on the shelf, and the only thing wrong with it is that everybody already has one.
Tissue White
A high-top that stopped being made. Sixty-one pairs and then never again, in the make-up everyone actually wanted.
Gum
Also above retail, but only just. The steel pair is the one that moved; this one sat, and we are glad it did.
Coalfield
A darker make-up of the shoe above. Eleven pounds cheaper for a dyed midsole and a grey lace.
Eyelet Steel
Overproduced in grey. Our gain, thirteen pounds under the black, and the identical shoe underneath.
Tissue White
The same cancelled order, in the colourway nobody fought over. It will be white for about a fortnight.
Midnight
Same last, same dead model, far more of it. If you want a high-top and you are not precious, this is the one.
Vulcan Black
Black on black on black. Sells to people who already own eleven pairs of black shoes and know exactly why they need a twelfth.
Gum
The cheapest honest shoe in the building, named after the street outside. Nylon upper, gum sole, no story.
Sizes are UK and are what was on the shelf when the shutters came down on Sunday. We do not hold, reserve or post pairs from the Archive lines. Everything else ships in the box it arrived in, with the ledger number printed on the receipt.
Sizing
We have had every one of these on our own feet, which is the only sizing advice worth reading. If you are between sizes the answer is almost always to go up, and if you get it wrong you have fourteen days.
